What is the addiction no one wants to admit to?

Support exists for the addictions we are willing to admit. What about the addictions we want to keep in shadow?

I’m pretty sure the default thinking, upon reading the title, is that I am going to write about screen addiction today. Cell phones, computers, etc have all inundated our lives to the point that we are walking heads with little connection to our bodies, subtle energy, or body sensations. It seems interesting to me that the point of AI should be to decrease our need or reliance on technology and screens. The way we seem to be plugging in and using it is only adding to our addictions, not decreasing our need for technology. Perhaps there is a reason for that, as there is a ridiculous amount of money to be made by corporations in global screen addiction. To me, screen addiction is an easy to admit and readily talked about addiction that isn’t going anywhere. I get it.
